The trick is to sue in small claims court and then let their lawyers request to move it to a higher court. By requesting the move, they should be considered as consenting to the case being heard in that court. Otherwise, in small claims court, they should be required to have a non-lawyer party represent the company. At least, that’s how it would work here in Michigan.

I'm glad to hear this. I saw a poor guy who lost $90k in lost inventory in another post and was refused reimbursement. I don't know all the details, but the headline was eye-catching.
