Charged by Amazon to settle account balance on Amazon.ca which we don't sell on.
This is the second time recently (hasn't happened the 3 years I've sold on here) I've been charged $19 to settle my selling account on the Amazon.ca side.
I haven't used anything other than the US selling platform, no account details have been updated and so I haven't accidently opted in.
I opened a case log to see why it's happening and both of the charges won't be refunded due to me apparently using the professional seller tools which of course I haven't used. These were instant responses clearly by a bot which is always enjoyable when you have an issue.
Anyone having this issue? Know how to go about it? It's not the money that is the issue either, its the principle of the matter that they can just pull stuff like this. I saw a forum post a week or so ago about people being charged a few dollars for sort of the same reason but can't find it to check for updates.

Read through the forums; lots of people facing this, and the solution has been posted multiple times.

Good Afternoon @Seller_wr2AZLyml0LM4,
When you sign up for a selling plan you are automatically enrolled in the the North America Unified account which allows you ability to sell in US, Canada and Mexico.
Here is a 2 minute overview of the North America Unified Account for your review.
Additionally, this page has a lot of great resources including FAQ's on the North America Unified Account. Two of which are the below:
What if I don't want to sell on more than one store?
If you have been upgraded to a Unified Account and do not want to sell on another store, keep the store switcher on the country on which you originally registered. Your products will only list on that store.
What fees will I pay if I sell something using my Unified Account?
For all per-item transaction fees, you will pay the fees applicable to the store in which the item was sold. Your monthly Professional selling plan subscription fee will be allocated to each North American store in which you have active listings on your monthly billing day, and will be limited to USD 39.99 or its equivalent in total. For more information about Professional selling plan fees, go to Selling on Amazon Fee Schedule.
Another seller @Medic has provided guidance around the forums like @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw was referring to here, should you not want to sell in these marketplaces at all. Make sure you have no inventory in your Canadian Amazon store.
Feel free to reach out to us if you have any more questions about this. Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
