Pressure to share OTP for return packets

We are in the practice of typing OTP in ddelivery associate device after delivery of return packets from our end and we do not share the OTP to them, however from yesterday we have been insisted by deliery associate, Hub incharge and their vendor to share the OTP to them which is not the right way.
The right way is we need to enter the OTP by ourself in their device after delivery of the return packets.
We request you to please follow the same practice so that OTP could not be shared at all.
If we tell them OTP to enter the by theirself, they could record it and they deliver another packets after duty hours.
Hence please do the share the OTP of return deliverables, only type it by yourself.
Please guide also to us if we are in wrong practice…

Your practice is absolutely correct. But due to need of fast delivery of packets, they might be asking this. As a seller we also share our otp with delivery associate, you simply need to have some friendly behavior with the delivery associate, because they come daily at your place and help in your business by transporting items. This creates better atmosphere for both of the parties for working with each other.

As for the part that they can deliver extra packets after duty hours then if they do so an amazon auto generated mail would come at your mail id that these packets have been delivered successfully, then you can raise question on them. As they also know it, they won’t get involved in this kind of practice.

Your practice is correct, as per Amazon we should not be sharing the OTP to delivery associates and should only type on the device after scanning all the packages. We use to share the OTP earlier since DAs were not having much time but we have stopped that practices since they started scanning packages late night and we have started loosing return package. I had a discussion with DA, showed them the mails and told them since station is not behaving ethically, I am not sharing the OTP.

Usually, the late night package scan is done by the station who takes the OTP from the delivery associate, so they might not be aware about it. Talk to them and they should understand. They can’t force you to share the OTP since it’s against the Amazon policy. You can fill the DA feedback form in case they try to force.

Though, it doesn’t stop the steal. Now, we are not sharing the OTP so they paste our shipping label on any random package and return that to us. We are getting different sellers products and Safe-T claim has its limit. So Amazon works unethically on every point and have a huge disconnect between the policy makers and execution workers.
