General adjustment Refund for other deductions related to taxes.
Hello Amazon Seller Community,
I hope this message finds you all well. I'm reaching out today to share a recent experience with refund for "General adjustment" and seek your advice and insights on this matter.
Recently, I noticed that Amazon applied a refund to one of my recent orders, citing it as a "General Adjustment." After conducting a thorough review of the order, I found that everything was in order – the product was delivered on time, and there were no customer complaints or issues with the service.
However, the response I received from Amazon customer service when I created a ticket to inquire about the reason behind this refund was this order had a total Amazon fee of $82.87 and other tax-related deductions amounting to $96.79.
This situation has left me somewhat baffled, as it's the first time I've encountered such charges in my time as an Amazon seller. I am eager to understand why Amazon has imposed these additional taxes on my net profits and whether there's a specific reason behind it.
So, I'm turning to this knowledgeable community for advice and insights. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation, where Amazon has applied unexpected fees or tax-related deductions to an order labeled as a "General Adjustment"? If so, how did you resolve it, or which steps did you take to seek clarification from Amazon?
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. I believe that by pooling our collective knowledge and insights, we can better navigate these occasional challenges that come with selling on the platform.
Thank you all in advance for your support and guidance.
Best regards,
