I am solely FBM. I never offer expedited shipping. Why am I getting orders for expedited shipping, (is Amazon overriding my shipping preferences?)and is there anything to be done about it? Thanks in advance!

A few questions: are you on the individual plan or the professional plan?
If on the pro plan, have you allowed any sort of automation on any templates or handling time?
Are you basing the "expedited" status on what the order says, or on what sort of options Amazon buy-shipping is presenting to you?

Make sure you are using the right shipping template. Look at your listings on your Edit page & see what the shipping says.

Check all your templates and handling times.
Based on many posts, it appears that earlier this month, Amazon decided to "reward" many sellers by changing their shipping settings, without permission or even a polite notification.
You should be able to set them back to where they should be, and that should take care of the issue.
@Dominic_Amazon looks like another seller burned by Amazon's "reward". How can we get Amazon to stop changing our settings without permission, or at least notification?

What about if you are not FREE shipping and you charge shipping even though Amazon does not give you the ability to correctly set weights per single item and Amazon decides to combine orders basically knocking off 75% of shipping which is BS they do not leave enough to properly box. Shipping boxes are expensive so we either throw item in plastic bag letting them get damaged or cancel orders. Amazon just needs their hands all over every single part of your buisness. When I list an item that is my price I Amazon want to discount which I disapprove I want the option not to allow combine orders. I ship single orders 10 times faster than combined orders!
