Amazon is killing a bunch of listings...

a bunch of my listings are being taken down to page not found. I inquired about it and Amazon stated the upcs do not match the gsn1 database or something? That's incorrect. The UPC is the correct item listed on barcode. I've been selling these specific items for years. If I type the UPC code on goggle it even pulls up the correct product:/ Amazon stated I need to upload the gsn1 license or something but I don't own the UPC etc.

Have you searched the UPC on GS1 to see if it is valid there and the company listed there matches the brand name on the listing?

I feel your pain. I went thru this for the last few years. I've learned to accept it. If you don't you will drive yourself to bad health. It will eat at your soul. With us its hijacking of brand names. Funny to me how Amazon allows some weird Chinese company to hijack a beautiful, legitimate, manufacturer approved, listing that has been on Amazon for 7 years.

Good Luck

We just got a few listings removed as well. UPCs are valid and match the company info on GSN1 site. No help from seller support.

This matter has literally cost us 100s of thousands of dollars starting last november 2022. I bought a bunch of wholesale UPC numbers for a couple hundred bucks when I first started selling on amazon 10 years ago. Fast forward 9 years and we are still working on getting our listings (and their corresponding reviews) back live.

I hired a VA full time to work on this.

Amazons solution is to delete your listing (and product reviews) and create new listings with GS1 certified upc numbers.

Happening on a few of my very old listings, too. Someone is trying to clean up the catalog, but it's so far gone at this point that it's a lost cause. Can't ignore quality control for 15 years and then go back and fix it. Like tossing your clothes on the floor for a month and then trying to pick out the few "dirty" things for the wash.

Amazon seems more and more to be just products by brands you've never heard of. I went to my inlaws house for lunch yesterday and there was a tabletop ice maker with a weird brand name, as well as a food dehydrator, and multiport phone charger. I bought a box of random stuff at a sale and there was a brand new laptop stand with another unknown brand, and when I tried to resell it on Amazon, even as used, it said I needed an invoice showing 10 units or more.

I refuse to buy an electrical device with a brand I've never heard of - I really don't trust them. And if I need a replacement part (say a basket or a rack) the company will be long gone and the product will be unusable.

Hey @Seller_TD8kClMwLYBMd, you've gotten some solid input here from other sellers, but I'd like to take a look at the Seller Support case you mentioned. Could you let me know the ID?

It seems, this is just to decrease number of seller by any mean possible. There is no good faith in doing this harm to the seller. Sell a product for a decade or so, then opps you don't have a proper upc. Cherry picking by amazon.
