appliction to ungate brand was denied

Hi everyone,

I recently tried to ungated a brand, but my application was denied. From my understanding, Amazon usually requires a minimum of 10 Units on an invoice from the brand or an authorized distributor. But this time, Amazon is asking for a minimum of 100 units to approve the request.

I've been selling on Amazon for the past two years, and it's always been 10 units for ungating-at least that's what I've seen across multiple brands. I even checked a few brands recently, and now I'm seeing requirements as high as 300 or even 400 units.

Has Amazon changed its policy? Or is this specific to certain brands now?

Just trying to understand what's goin on.

Thanks!

The new restrictions are not yet fully clear; but the big question may be, are you authorized BY THE BRAND to sell their product on Amazon?

For many brands, if you are authorized, there are few hurdles, but if not, even a 100 unit purchase is not enough.

Yes, policy has changed, and seems to be rather fluid.

Good Afternoon @Seller_ihEnkgQzO2iHw,

I wanted to stop by as I see you spoke with Selling Partner Support about this questions on CASE ID ending in 4391 and they were able to address your concerns about selling applications and the unit count request for the particular brand you are trying to sell.

Feel free to let us know if there is anything else we can assist with or you may reach out to Seller Support again. Have a lovely rest of the day and we look forward to seeing you again on the forums soon. Take care!

Cheers, Cooper_Amazon
