🔴 The Real Causes Behind Stranded Inventory & Seller Losses:
1. Subcontracted Chaos, Not Just “Stranded” Listings
Stranded inventory is not always due to seller error. It is often the end result of internal mismanagement—especially at the warehouse and ATS hub level. These facilities are commonly run by third-party subcontractors who:
# Are not directly appointed or managed by Amazon
# Operate with no real accountability to Amazon or sellers or amazon
# Employ underpaid labor (₹12,000–₹15,000/month) working 14–16 hours in harsh conditions
This creates a toxic environment where product mishandling, tampering, and theft thrive—and Amazon looks away.
🔴 Mass Theft Hubs Are a Seller's Nightmare
#These third-party-run hubs have effectively become mass theft networks:
#Inventory goes missing or is resealed after tampering
#Products get misplaced during unauthorized or negligent transfers
# Returned units are either not processed properly in damaged condition—marking them “unsellable” or “stranded”
Sellers discover it only after suffering rating hits, performance warnings, or deduction notices
These operators are practically outside Amazon’s control, yet sellers are fined and penalized as if the damage were our fault.
🔴➤ We believe this opaque and broken system is operating across India—effectively enabling a mass theft network that benefits Amazon while actively working against and crushing the interests of sellers, which Amazon either knowingly ignores or tolerates, because it ultimately results in fines, fees, and increased profit margins for Amazon.
🛑 Real Fixes Needed (Beyond One-Click Relisting):
Instead of only advising sellers to:
Check the Stranded Inventory page
Update ASIN info
Fix fulfillment settings
... Amazon must fix the broken chain of custody. That includes:
✅ Investigating third-party subcontractors handling FBA/ATS
✅ Establishing direct accountability for inventory damages
✅ Compensating sellers without forcing exhaustive SAFE-T claims
✅ Making internal theft/fraud metrics transparent just as seller performance is tracked

Until Amazon addresses these core flaws, "stranded inventory" isn’t just a listing problem—
It’s a symptom of a broken and exploited backend that Amazon continues to ignore.
We sellers are not here to play cosmetic games. We’re here to run honest businesses.
