"If you have a request to ship to Japan how do you do it?"

It's very simple-- YOU DON'T because all of the shipping and fees would have to be handled OFF AMAZON.

You would have ZERO protection and can lose your account by doing anything.

You either mark the message (HOPEFULLY made through the Amazon system) 'no response necessary' or you respond and say that you are not set up to do international shipping and if the buyer wants to buy the item they will have to establish an account with one of the numerous 'forwarding agencies' so the purchase would be mailed to a US based address and the forwarder would send it on.

In that case Amazon actually accepts a PO note of "delivered" to be acceptable proof of delivery. WHY they will not accept them otherwise is a complete mystery AND hypocrisy by Amazon.

Hello @Seller_t32XMhCPPH7fM

Christine here from Amazon Forums.

I want to share with you important information that may help you decide if International Orders is something you want to try.

You can Use Build International Listing : Build International Listings works within a region where there are multiple stores, such as Europe or North America, and across regions when you have connected them by linking accounts.

You Also have the option of Fulfilling International Orders on Your Own : If your inventory is located in a different country than the marketplace where your customers placed their order, you need to ship the product internationally to your customer

Other option is Amazon Global Selling where you can list and sell your products on any of our stores in the America, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Europe. Amazon currently has 21 stores, allowing you to expand your business. If you are a US-based seller, then go to global selling opportunities with Amazon for an overview of Global Selling.

Thank you as well @Seller_kIukTwdhvntApfor your input, all the information we can provide on the thread will help our seller to take a well-informed decision.

Hope you all have a nice day!
