It seems the 'lost' package scam is back again...
My main plant shipping season is just beginning, and just like last year several customer emails have come in, claiming UPS did not deliver. Even though the UPS driver supposedly handed it directly to the customer.
I will call it: ‘UPS shipments supposably not delivered' scam or fraud.
Here is the repeat indicator:
Two weeks after delivery customer claims package did not arrive and wants a refund. Emails are surprisingly similar.
Delivery name and contact name are different, usually delivery name is male, contact name is female. They all show delivered by UPS.
Last year I fended all these off by sending them to file an A-Z claim and all have been approved.
However, I had a case last summer where I actually created an Amazon case, that guy did about 15 orders to the same address and same delivery name with 15 different buyer names all female.
I reported him and the orders quit coming.
In any case, I have decided that with a different delivery/buyer name combination I’ll pay for a ‘signature required’ fee. Although I know the UPS drivers are guilty of faking them.
I haven’t been damaged, just concerned that eventually this will affect my 100% good standing with Amazon.

Tatiana from Amazon here -- I've just come across your post.
I can understand your frustration with the repeated orders from the same buyer. For the buyer you encountered last year, it looks like your report of them was likely successful and appropriate actions were taken.
For this years orders, it can be hard for us to determine a pattern unless they are all coming from the same account. I would suggest logging the orders and saving the associated emails, customer names, contact names, and addresses. You can then use the Report Abuse button on your Account Health page to report the behavior.
In addition to requiring signature for delivery, I would also use Amazon Buy Shipping whenever possible to purchase your labels. This will help ensure any questions around delivery will be covered as long as the package shows it was shipped on time.
