1. What can I do if my GTIN exemption request does not appear on the authorization applications?

2. How do I know what steps to follow, if when I carry out the same GTIN exemption request process again, the GTIN exemption request that I just made is not seen?

Below I explain my process.

On January 5, I made the GTIN exemption request. When I made the request, I received the following message:

• Authorization required for brand name: You have entered a brand name that we have not authorized. You have to request permission to publish products with this brand name.

• Requires UPC exemption: You have entered that the product does not have a product identifier. To publish this product without an identifier, you must request authorization.

I selected “apply to sell” they send me the following message:

• Brands require approval

To authorize your GTIN exemption request, we also need to authorize your trademarks. You can apply for brand authorization and GTIN exemption at the same time. To do this, send the following request.

When filling out the requested fields, the following message arrives:

• Authorization request for Catalog Authorization

Thank you for sending us your authorization request.

Our approximate response deadline is January 8, 2024

Check the status of your application.

When checking the application status.

• GTIN Request: There is no process.

• Catalog authorization: Under review.
