Customisation Template - Removing Fields

Hi all,

I am wondering if someone can either point me in the right direction or give me a bit of advice about editing a customisation template. I have tried all the usual steps of Googling and watching videos etc, but I can’t seem to find the answer I’m after (though after this, it might embarrassingly square in front of my face).

Anyway.

I have created a customisation template for our products that pretty much does everything we want it to do. I am happy enough with this, except for the option of “Colours” when it comes to the font. The only option here is black and having it as a swatch feels a lit unnecessary.

After saving my Customisation Template, I’ve downloaded the “feed file” and can see there is an option to “Removing fields” (I’ve also noticed that competitors don’t have the “colours” enabled in their customisation settings).

I have played around with the feed file, somewhat blindly. And tried to re upload it after making adjustments and I get an “error” when attempting to do so. I’ve tried to play about with it multiple times and I still get an error.

I then attempted to just download the feed file and then re upload it? And I STILL get the error message.

I’m now at the point where it’s bugging me that something which seems so simple, feels excruciatingly difficult!

Can anyone shed any light on this? What I might be doing wrong, how I remove this “colour” option (again, I’ve seen competitors doing this where the option isn’t on their customisation settings). If any one can come back to me and give me some insight, I would be forever grateful!

Thank you so much

Hello @Seller_61WIgpd4uaTJp,

How are you doing? Are you still having issues with this? You may have already check this help page, Customisation templates, specifically this part,

Filling the template

You have to use the product template to add products that are not currently listed in Amazon’s catalogue. .....

I hope this helps and let me know how it goes.
