Update on returnless refund for Easy Ship and Self Ship orders

Effective 2 July 2021, for orders wherein Amazon issues return-less refund to the buyer for and on behalf of the seller i.e. refund issued to buyer without picking up the return shipments, the refund amount will be debited from your seller account. However, in the event that it is established that the fault for such refund is not attributable to seller; Amazon will reimburse eligible orders to sellers proactively within 50 days from the refund date as per the fair market value of the product.

Why would Amazon issue refund to the buyer without picking up the return shipments? You would issue refund only when the shipment is picked up, isnt it?

BAD POLICY, atleast allow us to choose which product is returnable and which is not, we can take returns on non returnable. We have invested our products on amazon not make DOUBLE LOSS. Already customer care is not abiding A to Z guidelines to issue refund, this will give them free hand JUST TO GET A GOOD REVIEW. I have cases were self ship OTP verified deliveries have been refunded by customer care with intimating sellers. Safety T claim only gives 40% in end we suffer loss.

ALLOWING US to take return eliminate those bad customers who know loop holes on how to keep the product and get money back .

JUST TO CUT down on your return shipping price Amazon has forcefully implemented no return policy in the past and now are putting our entire order on risk that is not fair. Your team gives no proof and never discuss the issue customer has reported just gives refund and ask us to challenge. Indian law give consumer and seller have equal rights in terms of dispute. The leverages given to customer are by amazon are unfair.

Also I’m amazed to see that few people posted “like” for this policy. I admire their guts to take double loss on their business by losing product and money.

So, now onwards customers will keep the product + get a full refund.

We will loose product + shipping cost + amazon commission

This is amazing policy. Is this same applied to any other market places or just special to India ?

How much more we have to suffer for being a seller in Amazon ?

Do we have any right ?

We have to sweat to get a claim for any product damage and most cases which is even not more than 10-15% of product cost and other expenses.

Are we here to do business or just make everyone else happy ?

All these syndicates of fake order will take full advantage of this policy. Check youtube how they are promoting these loop hole vids " how to get any product free from amazon".

This is at whose cost ? Zeff or sellers like us who sweat to earn something to survive.

This policy must not be implemented.

if you guys want to do like this then there is no need to mention a product is returnable product or non returnable …better you give us our product back whichever is the category and send the refund to your customers …the customers cheat in present scenario but after the implementation of this policy they will cheat more .We as sellers already follow your strict protocols of late dispatch rate ,quality issues etc else we know that you will suspend our account .in the policy that we are following now if the customer contact amazon customer support you guys refund from your side and dont even give us the exact reason about the issue and nor any platform where we can talk to customers as you donot mention the order id just asin are mentioned .in easy ship if customer have issue you must intimate us immediately so we can understand …refund is not the solution

we are sellers but now we would like to be the buyers
we can make profit from this policy by orderring multiple products that are not returnable and then will say that we do like it or it is defective and will get the product + our money back …

specailly will order from cloud tail …lolz

it is a good policy for buyers and Lets be the buyers on amazon india

you guys should think of about everything before making policies …this is india and all indian customers doesnt follow etiquettes …we are happy if we are getting anything for free !! in a product we can give you multiple reasons to say that it is not a good product …and since you would have a policy to refund so it is like a win win situation to us as a buyer

This is an unfair policy. Today I received an empty box in the return package. At least we come to know that the buyer is fake when we receive returns. If we stop receiving return shipments, how will Amazon differentiate between a fake and genuine buyer. How will Amazon judge whether the buyer is telling the truth or no.
To add further, Amazon doesn’t keep track of cheat buyers. It is difficult to track.

If this is just about the return of item, why should we take risk of the value of the item that can be of any amount for a one side return expense.
Request you to clarify how is this policy going to benefit Amazon and sellers.

Already now we get different products by customers while returning ? Whats the action taken on such customers ? We pack and ship carefully each every product ! Totally agree with the sellers.
Amazon is just making unfair policies. Suddenly our return ratio has increased drastically since the customer contact details have been taken away. And now this another policy will only result in sellers loss.
Also we don’t get full amount when the safe-t claim has been filed.
