When searching using the ASIN it does indeed show up active. But if one uses "floral hand soap" you are then part of a very large category. A customer would need to go through quite a few pages to find something generic like that.

Your item is listed see ASIN → B0BY295515

However, it hasn't been indexed yet (assigned to a category) so it would not come up in an organic search.

Also Handmade is one word.

Keep an eye on it to make sure it gets indexed. If it doesn't, you will need to check/update your (search) keywords, use the Category self-tool, or open a case and let Amazon know.

See → Keyword attributes explained

Assign category and browse terms to your listings

Sometimes its not immediate, but give it some time, if your new, you have to be patient. Nothing is immediate on here.

I cant find my product either and I have been on here for 10 years. I seem to get sales and people seem to buy it, even though I myself cant find it when I search for it. Then a sale comes in.

Give it some time, it will happen.

Seach using Fast.Store, comma, and your item number precisely, but not "ASIN" acronym. The result is https://www.amazon.com/s?k=fast.store%2C+B0BY295515&crid=307SCU52LUM6V&sprefix=fast.store%2C+b0by295515%2Caps%2C565&ref=nb_sb_noss

To achieve better visibility, you can run Amazon PPC (Pay-Per-Click) campaigns once you have good pictures, effective listing optimization, and positive reviews (you can use Vine). Unfortunately, you can't make money on Amazon without spending money.

It shows up if you put in the asin, but you will never find it by just searching up "soap". You need to run some ads on it to get your keyword recognition going and get yourself a sales rank. Also you do need to make your main product photo into a 100% white background for better placement.

"Handmade soaps are artificial soaps made from natural oils and lye" Say what now?

Also, how is this an acne treatment? It is listed as such in the bullet points.

It shows up for me under an ASIN search as well as a 'name' search if I put it all in parenthesis (i.e. "floral hand made soap"). It shows up after all the "sponsored" ones (i.e. pay per click, etc. ones). You need to do a lot of work on your listing though. 1st thing, capitalize the words. Secondly, add key words (words people search for) but don't go crazy like some sellers do and have a 30 word title! You may have to do an advertising campaign to draw people to your listing. You may also have to brand your product and list on sites like Etsy and Facebook to start a demand for your item. Also just a curious question... are those seeds and petals actually stacked on top of the soap? So when you go to use it they all fall off?

Amazon's search mechanism is second to all. That said you might get lucky for a period and inexplicably have buyers connecting to your product - reason unknown. Then as quickly as that happens it stops.

To the extent that there is any overall logic to the search process it is entirely in the service of directing potential buyers to products that Amazon itself has for sale, any crumbs that come your way are unintended and are what economists term "externalities":

"a side effect or consequence of an industrial or commercial activity that affects other parties without this being reflected in the cost of the goods or services involved, such as the pollination of surrounding crops by bees kept for honey"
