8541 for over a month and seller support have not resolved it!
I am trying to 16 items with GS1 authorised barcodes registered to the brand I am listing.
When creating the listings, all of the barcodes throw the 8541 error showing the barcode has been used previously by different, non related items. Clearly it seems someone has used the barcode for their product, although the barcode is not registered to them on the GS1 system.
I have gone back and forth with seller support for over one month no and it seems to be an endless loop of them requesting screenshots, GTIN numbers, GS1 certificates, etc again and again and again with no solution.
I am outraged because I doubt whoever used the barcodes in the past without authority had to go through this trouble. I say that because the barcodes are not authorised for their product, so clearly they could not have proven ownership!

Can I please have some help from Amazon Seller Support beyond being constantly told to be patient and asked for the same information again and again.
I have been unable to list my items for over a month now and it is becoming extremely frustrating.

just an update for anyone who is interested. Still no progress and still the endless loop with seller support promising an update that never comes.

Thanks for posting here. As your cases are in the Australian marketplace, I recommend that you post in the Australian Forums. Simply hover to the top right and toggle from United States to Australia in the drop-down. Then, start a new discussion for further assistance.
