Selling Canon, Nikon, Panasonic Cameras
Amazon took away the permission to sell Canon, Nikon and Panasonic Cameras. Did this happen to anyone else? If so, were you able to get approval?

These are big brand names. The brands themselves may have blacklisted sales on marketplaces.

I got the letter, and some of my listings got deactivated, however there's no rhyme or reason to it - some items that are still in productions are untouched and some that were discontinued over a decade ago got gated.
If you click on "request approval" button it will tell you exactly what you need to do. I am not going to bother with it though.

Hi @Gerald_s_Digital_Cam,
Thanks for the post. Looks like you received some good nuggets of guidance from the other Sellers on this thread.
Checking in to see if you are all set.
Thanks in advance.

Are you an "authorized seller" of these "brands"? That's the corporate language Amazon is using in recent times (the past two years at least) regarding listing certain products.
Are you an individual seller or a brick & mortar that sells Canon and/or Nikon and/or Panasonic cameras also using Amazon to sell those products online? It's not clear from your asking if others were able to get approval if you yourself tried and, if unsuccessful, what the basis for the declination was.
Perhaps related sidebar: I'm an individual seller. Since the dawn of the Blu-ray Disc (BD) format I've personally bought and sold at least 12 (twelve) BD players, upgrading especially when the format was new. Many of those players were Panasonics, many purchased either on Amazon proper or Marketplace.
I'm being blocked from listing Panny BD players even when I present my Amazon invoices in support of the application. I find the requirement that such invoices reflect 10 (ten) units problematic. It's not my understanding that manufacturer authorization to sell the "brand" is predicated upon any particular sales volume. I find it curious and perhaps telling that Amazon doesn't point to/"blame" the manufacturer if indeed these restrictions and invoice quantity requirements are coming from the manufacturer. It seems to me that some of this inconsistently applied nonsense is coming from Amazon not the manufacturers.
In any event, something I've sold with positive customer feedback in the past I'm blocked from now. And there are other "brands" in the same "product class" which are not restricted (Sony BD players, for instance). I have a Panny Lumix camera and accessories which I haven't tried listing--will see what happens as a test.
