How to Sell low MRP products to Amazon
Dear Amazor Sellers,
I want to sell some products which is having MRP of less than 200 Rs/- . After deduction of all Amazon Fees, FBA fees I am at a position where I will be in -ve margin if I sell that product in Amazon.
I have seen people who are selling products which has MRP less than 100 Rs/-.
Any one is there who can help to overcome this issue? Because deduction is more than 58% I think that much margin is not there in any business.

Actually you have to sell multiple listing and they are not only selling (Low MRP) I guess some products they really earn negative profit. They dont care because they have 100 listing and 5 makes negative margin really don’t make any difference.

You can sell low MRP product to make it pack of X product and sell it. For ex, pack of 2, pack of 3, pack of 5 way you can sell it. If you sell any brand product then try to make sure you have some proof to provide for making pack of product. Take more help from Seller support team for same, because I have same issue so they are telling me for same.
Also take help of taking shipping charges from customer side.
I hope you can get help for same.

Never Sell in loss amazon don’t cares for sellers . some of sellers are selling their product even in loss for getting show on 1 page. It’s totally useless and wastage of time and money. Always calculate your expenses then sell, i know at-least 100-150 sellers who had opted this strategy and finally got abandoned.
No business can survive in long term with selling in losses . Choice is your now you can’t even hide your tax detail amazon itself reporting the taxes to GST authorities.
Never Try to b urn you own hands.

Dear Planet_Health,
These low MRP sellers are selling duplicate products, i observe it many times while i check the manufacturer prices and Amazon prices, amazon is not taking action against them.

Dear Fellow Sellers,
I agree with some of the answers here!
Do not REPEAT do not sell products if you are not making margins. However if you continue to do so, you would end up doing the below-
- Make Business Losses due to -ve margin.
- Will end up making more losses from Returns.
- Will end up making additional losses from Customer rejects.
- Will end up making some more losses due to Amazon easy ship damages.
5.To top it up you will see yourself in spending additional hours filing & fighting claims which is again translated into cost.
Above everything else what you/other’s ignorant sellers like you would be doing- Encourage this deflated selling price balloon to fly as high as possible & the only party benefiting from this would be AMAZON & the Customer.
So my friend request you to stay away from this vicious circle
Cheers~

Dont Sell!
Look for better items.
Returns, customer reject incidents will hurt you more when you have too slim margins.
Stay away from such products. Deal in products which have healthy margins in percentage as well is in absolute terms.
Do not make decision based on others are selling. You really not know what other person’s business strategy is. Work with what suits you.

Dear friend
I think the best way it to sell in sets ie pak of 2 products, pack of 3 products. Which is good for byers too. And make sure you keep the selling price more then 399 so that amazon expenses are easily adjusted.

It all depends on what is the cost at which you are buying a product from manufacturer or cost of manufacture if you yourself is manufacturer. I have seen many sellers purchasing product at Rs 20 or 25 and selling at Rs 199. At this price point they are earning good profit. The thumb rule is selling price should be 4 to 5 times the cost of product. This rule takes care of everything i,e, amazon fees, shipping fees, returns, etc
