Hi,
I’ve been dealing with this issue for over a week, and Amazon support hasn’t been helpful. My listing for a British Standards USB socket was deactivated, with the reason given being that “the sale of universal sockets is prohibited on Amazon.co.uk.” However, this is not a universal socket—it’s a British Standard 1363 socket.
I explained this in my appeal, and they requested the product manual, which I promptly provided. Despite this, the only response I’ve received is a repeated instruction to update the GL product group.
The Catalogue team has already confirmed that the correct GL product group is:
DIY & Tools > Electrical > Outlets & Accessories > Wall Outlets.
This is the same category as my other 8 models (very similar) USB socket products, which are all active and selling without issue.
Amazon keeps insisting I need to update the GL product group, but it has been correct from the start. I’ve opened multiple cases, replied to old ones, and repeatedly asked for clear instructions or for the issue to be escalated to someone knowledgeable. Yet, all I get are automated responses.
If anyone has faced a similar issue, I’d really appreciate your help
Thanks
