Add to cart button gone every time I make a listing edit

I am an FBM seller and I updated (improved) the photo on one of my listings, and the add to cart button is no longer showing. The sales went from 1.5k per month to 0....

This happened during tax season wile it was busy, so I didn't notice immediately. Amazon confirmed nothing wrong with the listing. I recently made a title edit to another listing, and the same thing happened. These listings are several years old with no issues. My other listings need some improvement with images, but I need to figure out how to fix these before I start messing with the other listings and end up with the same issue.

Is there a way to fix this?

Look in your "Manage All Inventory" section and see if your listings are suppressed. This will show at the top page menu under "Listing Quality Dashboard".

It may be that your image does not meet Amazon's standards for the main image.

There are tens of thousands of ASINs that do NOT have any featured offers. I guarantee you that EVERY one has one thing in common -- NO offers by AMAZON.

Sadly people are too lazy or 'dumb' to bother clicking on the 'see all buying options' link.

I am convinced that it is designed that way on purpose since AMAZON does not have any for sale.

Yup listings without add to cart button are worthless and we have had many that once add to cart was taken away you can count on that item will no longer sell no matter what price you mark it. We usually just mark these type of items up until we have the time to migrate product to other platforms. Same goes with listings taken down for high pricing errors again you can count on that listing to never perform again almost like all sales and rank history has been deleted.

What happens to those items or that inventory? Can you change to another listing, delete the listing that is causing problems and make a new one?

Edited: I just confirmed with evidence (submitted to Amazon) that making edits to the titles, images, or any of the product details are indeed causing the listings to lose the buy box.

This problem is for sure not account related, price related, inventory related, volume related, or any of the suggestions that the Amazon reps have suggested.

I sell both automotive engine mounts and ignition coils, but this is *only* happening for my engine mount listings. The ignition coil listings seem to be fine when I make changes or updates. I took detailed images with timestamps of me editing the listing, and I have confirmed that changing the title is causing the listings to lose the buy box for a long time. The first time this happened was back in March of this year and the listing has not regained the buy box.

I contacted Amazon about this and I will continue to reach out until I get get some definitive help on what's going on. This is 100% not an account issue. It is a glitch with the algorithm and it is costing me money, however no one has the ability to do anything about it seemingly. I am hoping this can get the right attention from Amazon to resolve the matter so I can finally improve my listings, and (in all reality) make Amazon a better place to sell while making money obviously.

Hi Rose,

Sorry to keep bugging you, but I spent more time today investigating and I think I am starting to get somewhere.....at least to confirm something is wrong with the algorithm, or maybe the listing settings.

@Glenn_Amazon @Tatiana_Amazon @Cooper_Amazon @Danika_Amazon @Jameson_Amazon @Stevie_Amazon

I really think the Amazon reps should check this one out. I was originally assured by a rep named Kim (who was very nice btw) who handled case ID # 13051659001 that I quote "changing the listing image, title or details will not cause you to lose the buy box / featured offer".

I edited another listing title (B0836PHXMK) and documented it with very very detailed images and time stamps....... The featured offer was lost within 6 minutes of saving the listing.

I will organize it here and I really hope it makes things easier for you because I know you all are busy, but I promise that I'm not going crazy here.

Original case ID #1 (unable to re-open) : 13051659001

Updated Case ID with image evidence: 13214549881

I opened up another case so I can submit images and evidence of this. I edited another listing (B0836PHXMK) and referenced both relevant cases at 5:37 pm on 7/5/2023. I added to the title to make it better (aka "05 Honda Pilot" updated to -> "2005 Honda Pilot").

By 5:43, the featured offer is gone.

I sell 2 different types of automotive products: Ignition coils and engine mounts. This problem *only happens with engine mounts*. I will definitely not touch any more engine mount listings until I find out what's wrong.

Do you think it could be a edit/setting causing this? I have been carefully reviewing the settings, but nothing I have done has fixed the issue. It would be super fantastic if an Amazon rep could even help me with that (if that were really the case).

I have been planning on adding new engine mount listings (products that I have never sold on Amazon before) but they immediately don't have the featured offer.
