Amazon issued a full refund for an order that was placed 10 months ago!
This is just getting more and more ridiculous by the day.
We received a return request for an order that was delivered to the buyer 10 months ago, back in March of 2023. I have been shopping on Amazon for over 15 years and based on my experience, it is impossible to initiate a return after 1-month period, as the return button vanishes from the order after that timeframe.
This buyer not only initiated a return request for a $700 order AND it was auto authorized by Amazon as it was a PRIME order, but also received a full refund 15 minutes after initiating the return request. The return request had a big and bold "OUT OF POLICY" indication in red, but despite of that, Amazon issued the full refund, deducting from our account balance.
This is just getting out of hand! What in the hell is Amazon doing, not even following their own policies?

Amazon will make exceptions to their policies on a case by case basis to make buyers happy. I'm sure this buyer called them, and they were happy to refund your money to them to keep them happy. This is one of the dangers of using Prime. I don't do Prime, so I'm not sure if there is anything you can do to try and recoup that charge or not. Good luck.

Hello @Seller_1z0ZI7saOSK3h
Thank you for posting your inquiry to the Forums.
Was this an order that was refunded at first scan (RFS)? Amazon issues a Refund at First Scan for items returned through Amazon’s Prepaid Returns Label program. With Refund at First Scan, a buyer receives a refund when the returned item is dropped off at a designated carrier location using a prepaid return label that was issued by us. In this case, if you receive a damaged or materially different return due to customer fault, you can file a SAFE-T claim on Seller Central within 60 days of a refund charge to your account.
Please feel free to update this thread and include the related order ID if you need additional assistance.
