How to convert to FBA while maintaining FBM offer?

I haven't been able to figure out how to convert to FBA and still be able to sell FBM until the inventory arrives to Amazon, specifically for handmade items. Has anyone else been able to do that?

Most posts I see mention using the "Add another condition" button, which I've tried but the new condition never gets added. Some other posts I've seen have alluded to the fact that you can't have more than one condition on a handmade item.

The only option I've seen is to convert the existing offer to FBA, however that means that customers can't purchase in the interim, until we've sent inventory to Amazon, which seems sort of silly.

Any thoughts?

Hi @ Subpoly,

Thanks for the post.

You may sell the same thing both through FBA and seller-fulfilled. Just have two different SKUs so they can sell independently from each other.

Best regards,

Go to Inventory, hit send / replenish inventory, convert the item to FBA, start a shipment. DON'T FILL OUT FORM NOW, WAIT. Go back to inventory in another browser window, select fulfilled by merchant to make the item FBM again. Until this step, your item is sold out!! Then wait 10 mins, go back to inventory, set your quantity. Without this step, your item is sold out!! Then go back to the shipments workflow and continue your shipment to Amazon. Once received on the other end and handled, it will appear on your home screen as an alert: stranded inventory. Then you convert the item to FBA and if you manage your shipments well, you never have to convert back. This works for us every time.
