FNSKU - Will FNSKU Change on an Item across the life of FBM to FBA, to FBM and FBA?
Hi! I am a new seller figuring out FBA shipments.
Does anyone know if the FNSKU stays the same for each item across the life of the item - no matter how many times you switch from being fulfilled by merchant or fulfilled by Amazon?
I am selling items by FBM now but need to provide my manufacturer with the FNSKU so they can pack the items and sticker the FNSKU on the new produced items. So, my thought is to switch to FBA to get access to printing the FNSKU then switch back (before sending any inventory) to FBM to sell the current inventory I have on hand. But if the FNSKU doesn't stay the same, I don't want to do this because all of my items would have been stickered with the wrong FNSKU.
Also, I thought having them put a thick plain sticker first on top of the manufacturer UPC would be good to prohibit the FNSKU on top to not scan properly, right? Is this dumb?

A few months back River_Retail and PerniciousWallaby had some helpful replies to OP on how to create a different SKU for FBM, not FNSKU. You'll want to note that the FNSKU identifies you specifically as the product owner. I recommend checking out that thread and others related as well as FBA product barcode requirements for more info.
