Your question has nothing to do with your account health.

It is all based on, 1. what you sell, 2. the price it is offered at, and 2. how many different products you sell.

1. If you sell products that buyers want and need, they sell themselves.

2. The lowest price offering always ell before the high price offering of the same product.

3. If you sell, say between 1-5 different items, slow selling days are natural. If you sell 1000, 10,000, or 50,000 different products, they all do not sell every day, but enough do sell so that slow sales of any one product really makes no difference.

My sales have collapsed over the past few weeks. Amazon has been listing my delivery times as extremely long, even though I ship next business day without fail. Somehow they are telling people to expect their items up to 2 weeks.

If I was FBA the shipping time would be much shorter since they have their own trucks.

I seem to be unable to change the shipment estimate. In fact the USPS is planning to deliver mail even slower to save money.

I am going to put everything in vacation mode until there is a correction in the subsidized shipping form China. That advantage is insurmountable and it is wasted effort to compete.

My end date here is March 7, since I paid for my account up till then.

The governments of most countries in the world have not treated their own citizens very well. Allowing the Chinese to exploit the developing nation loophole has caused massive economic harm to non-Chinese ecommerce sellers.

Time to adapt.

2 BS negatives that were not our fault and sale drop 50% so during this slow time we work with our friends ebay and create new listings as our goal is to shift every item that does not have buy box to ebay as we all know a listing where the take buy box away will likely never sell and just wasting time on this platform.

Our business is living PROOF that this statement is not accurate.

We set our prices at the price WE will accept, and we wait until we get a Buyer who recognizes that the price we set equals the value of the item to make their purchase.

We are OFTEN (almost always) NOT the Lowest Price offered, but we still capture Sales. There may be a multitude of reasons for this. Feedback Score, Feedback Reviews, even possible word-of-mouth concerning the High Quality of our Customer Service.

But is is NOT because we "Beat" all other competitor's prices. On Amazon, if you choose to LOWER your price to become the Lowest, you just invite your competitor to do likewise, resulting in a downward-spiral where NO ONE WINS.

You should avoid speaking in absolutes when discussing such subjective matters.

Your statements are GENERALLY true, but Retail Selling is always a gamble, and if simply having the Lowest Price was enough to capture Sales, then we would all see a far more visible and direct form of competition amongst product providers.

No, it seems that in today's world, MANY "Stores" display the attitude that "You're just lucky we have this and will sell it to you" and/or "If YOU don't want it, some one ELSE will", and that the Buyer should feel fortunate that they were able get whet they wanted at all. It is quite upside-down. Retailers should take whatever active steps possible to display to their Customers that "The Company/Store" is GRATEFUL to have their business.

At least, that is how we run OUR Business.

Another completely FALSE assertion. We enjoy the "Featured Offer" on the average of LESS than 2% of the listings we are on, even the listings where we are the ONLY Seller of that product.

Yet we still get sales on a Full-Time Job level.

I would agree that having the "Buy Box", or Featured Offer makes it easier for those Lazy or uneducated Amazon Buyers to make their purchases without having to think about it too hard, and thus often results in a higher sales rate.

However, it is completely untrue that one MUST have the Featured Offer to capture the Sale on Amazon. Our own Amazon Selling experience completely obliterates this assertion.

Good Luck on your next platform!

Actually your the four statements validate the meaning of what I said. A desired price is set, and the seller waits until the lower price offering runs out of stock, and then the buyer purchases from you.
View post

That is NOT what I said, and it is certainly NOT what I meant.

I have YEARS of examples of Selling here where a Buyer bypasses (multiple) lower-priced competitors and chooses to purchase from US instead.

To reiterate, A Seller does NOT have to be the "Lowest Price" available to capture the Sale on Amazon.

In fact, the Lowest rice is NOT a "Guarantee" of winning the "Featured Offer" either. This is decided by a complicated Algorithm that is jealously guarded by Amazon, and they are intentionally opaque in understanding how it functions..

Additionally, we have multiple examples (including a current order scheduled to ship This Tuesday) where we were not only NOT the "Lowest Price" for the product, but we were not even the Featured Offer! A different Seller had the Featured Offer, and their offer was at a HIGHER PRICE than our offer.

And yet they still were awarded the Buy Box Featured Offer.

And we were not, and ARE NOT, the Lowest Price for this item.

And yet, WE captured the Sale by the Buyer utilizing the "Other Sellers" button.

So, try to make these facts "Validate the meaning of what you said".

I believe they validate what I stated.

I don't care about competition or competitive pricing or re-pricers. I only care about what pay wholesale and the price I can sell the product at on Amazon, keeping as much profit as I can. I only sell FBM.
View post

On this point I absolutely agree. I firmly believe that Amaozn makes the highest profit from Sellers who utilize FBA, and based on the many posts I have read here, there is NO WAY I could ever risk selling FBA on Amazon, for many, many reasons.

With over 3,500 listings, we don't have the time to constantly check our pricing against our competitors, especially as doing so would be an endless task, much like painting the Golden Gate Bridge. Once you finish you just have to start-over.

My ONLY question is; WHY don't you get "Flamed" by Trolls when you make this statement that is clearly based on Facts?

EVERY TIME I attempt to make the same point, someone pops-up to dispute me... Not the actual facts that I stated, but just a personal attack because they simply do not LIKE the message.

Thanks for living on Earth-1, NullandVoid. And Thank you for the bravery you displayed by speaking TRUTH.

On this point I absolutely agree. I firmly believe that Amaozn makes the highest profit from Sellers who utilize FBA, and based on the many posts I have read here, there is NO WAY I could ever risk selling FBA on Amazon, for many, many reasons.

I don't work down that low but always make sure I sell among the three lowest offerings

With over 3,500 listings, we don't have the time to constantly check our pricing against our competitors, especially as doing so would be an endless task, much like painting the Golden Gate Bridge. Once you finish you just have to start-over.

Thank you for your kind comments. I believe that with so many people on the planet, and more being born all the time, there is enough Business for all of us, we just need to find our "Niche".

I too wish you nothing but success, especially as we enter this period of Catastrophic Change and Uncertainty.

Here's hoping for Good Luck to us All!

In case its helpful, the forums team did recently put together some Resources for boosting sales in 2025, which covers tools, optimization methods, continued learnings, and other resources that may be beneficial for your e-commerce business.

I hope so, but thank you again for taking the time to post!

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE!

Good Luck to us ALL.
