Unfair System is Hurting Sellers and India’s Economy

It’s time we speak the truth.

Amazon may appear as a platform that supports business in India, but in reality, it is silently damaging the Indian economy. Here’s how:

Sellers are in constant loss, even while working hard to deliver quality products.

Buyers are paying high prices, yet the major profit margin is going to Amazon.

Whether we get a sale or not, Amazon takes its fee, charges commission, and even on non-returnable items, it issues refunds and charges sellers again—without valid reasons.

Products are often not returned, but sellers still pay refund fees, shipping costs, and lose their inventory.

It's not business—it's a trap.

This is not just bad for sellers, it’s bad for the country. When Indian businesses suffer, the economy weakens, and foreign platforms profit from our loss.

Worst part? We have no voice, no strong support system, and no protection from false return claims. Amazon's one-sided policies are designed to benefit only one party—and that’s Amazon itself.

It's high time we unite and demand change.

If not, we’ll keep losing more than just money—we’ll lose trust in e-commerce altogether.

200% true. India should emphasize more on govt own marketplace, foreign companies are only for their own benefit all the way, no matter inventory damaged, returned, advertised, ABA, FBA or anything.. all are loss to seller & economy but all are revenue generation tool for amazon. these are not facilitation but all round extortion..
