Sales Velocity Review - our most bizarre SNAFU yet
Has anyone else been subjected to a Sales Velocity Review?
We should continue trading but cannot access funds, which creates a glorious cash flow issue as you can imagine.
No matter what we do, no matter how much detailed evidence we supply, we still get the same response, which to us, seems more like a riddle than a request for further info:
"If you believe there has been an error, please submit an explanation to seller account review
Your explanation should include the following information:
-- Evidence or examples that demonstrate your account complies with our Selling Policies and Seller Code of Conduct."
I've had many conversations with seller support, who have no power to help but can advise (so far unsuccessfully). One said "This is like asking you to prove you are not a magician" Well said sir.
Anyone got any idea what they want?
A bit of background. We have been trading as seller fulfilled on Amazon for 8 years, so have suffered our fair share of madness and dealt with appeals in the past. This one appears to be the most nebulous yet.
The review was triggered on Amazon Italy on Oct 13th. Potentially because our sales in certain products increased due to an large restock of popular items. This lead to a doubling in sales between May and June, however, don't get too excited - we are talking from £800 per week to £1500. One or two products increased form 1 sale a month to 13. It's not like we suddenly sold hundreds of a product.
During September we got no feedbacks because…who knows? Nothing went wrong and no one complained? Unlike ebay, people don't tend to feel compelled to write reviews on amazon.
We were advised to message customers to get more feedbacks as this would help our case. We did. We got more. Job done.
We analysed all our tracking data, pulling out any delivery problem, how we addressed them and the result. We submitted all of this info along with all tracking data for the last 4 months. We submitted a graph showing which products increased, with explanations why.
Its been a real treat. Anyway all this info and the grovelling reasons associated with being treated like a criminal whilst doing our level best to be a consistently great seller on Amazon has had no effect.
They are saying they will hold our funds for a month and then may choose to extend the hold until after that.
I get the impression a bot has flagged the account for too many sales vs reviews and then seller performance humans can't really see what is wrong so they just reject all our info and we are basically stuck like this until they either close the account for misdeeds unknown or allow us to continue trading.
So has anyone had one of these reviews and come out the other side? If so, is it worth fighting more or shall we just await our fate after 30 days?
Thanks, Nick

Velocity reviews are fairly common reading the forums, although we have never had one in 12 years, and our sales have varied over the years from 250k up to just over 3m so surprised we have not had one to be honest.
I don't think they would link reviews to sales, reviews are very low on Amazon, we only get 0.5% feedback from our sales.

i had one about a year in as sales increased due to an offer , all they are doing is checking you can handle the extra volume and its nothing to worry about
