Return after 4 months

I am writing because I had an interesting event today. If anyone has experienced this situation before, I would appreciate your answers.
My product, which was purchased approximately 4 months ago, was returned today. It is really impossible to understand the reason for this. Can you imagine that the product has been used for 4 months and perhaps it has become unusable by the customer. This situation is really sad. Even the disposal costs of these products are over £ 10, what can I do now?

Is this FBM, FBA?
Did the customer open a return request and then wait? To be honest, what you do next will depend on if it was FBM, was an Amazon Prepaid Return Label supplied?
