Non-Returnable Product Cateogry But Suffering Negative Reviews

We sell products in the dog supplement space which is a non-returnable product category on Amazon. The problem with this, is that our customers expect to be able to request a return where we can offer a refund (even if we can't accept them sending any product back) so this makes for a really poor customer experience. If the product doesn't work, all our customers see is that the product is non-returnable and they feel like they just got cheated out of the chance to get their money back. We can of course offer a refund but only if they reach out for support which most customers don't. We're getting a lot of negative reviews because of the fact that our customers can't request a refund which is really hurting our listing. What solutions does Amazon have to give our customers a clear path to request a refund and how can we communicate that with our customers? It's unfair that we're receiving negative reviews over something we have no control over (i.e. pet supplements being non-returnable on Amazon).

Any help is appreciated!

Sounds like the support AI is going in circles over your product. We had a similar issue recently with a battery back up for the computer. We ordered one that was too small and wanted to exchange it. All the support bot would do was go in circles offering us troubleshooting tips. It never came out and said that the item wasn't returnable only refundable. We had to contact an actual person. And they didn't understand that the battery in these are SLA not lithium but thats a whole other boat load of fish.

Hello! @Seller_YT2aP0tQfJmxQ

This is Roberto. Thank you for using the Forums.

Is this issue affecting a single or multiple products? Do you have order examples where this has happened for further review?

For the types of products you sell, buyers should get the option for a refund or a replacement if applicable.

Regards,

Roberto
