Struggling with Easy Ship as a New Seller: Missed Pickups Are Killing My Business
I’m here to vent some frustration and hopefully find some advice or solidarity from anyone who’s been through this before. As a new seller on Amazon, I’m trying my best to get my small business off the ground. I’ve put in the hours, crafted what I believe are some great products, and even invested in advertisements to drive traffic to my listings. And guess what? The orders started coming in! It felt like I was finally making progress.
But here’s where the nightmare begins—Amazon’s Easy Ship. I’ve had multiple orders now, and maximum time the courier guy NEVER shows up to pick up my packages. I’m paying for ads to get these orders, and then I’m left hanging because no one from the courier service bothers to come by.
Imagine this: You wake up excited, see an order notification, pack everything up with care, and then you wait. And wait. And wait some more. Only to realize that no one’s coming. You call customer support, they give you the runaround, and eventually, you’re told to reschedule the pickup. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking, and the customer is waiting, likely getting more impatient by the minute. This is not only stressful, but it’s also embarrassing! What’s the point of all the effort if the logistics fail you at the last mile?
Amazon, if you’re listening, this is unacceptable. We new sellers are trying to build something here, and we rely on you to help us succeed. We don't have enough orders to use the FBA service.
Has anyone else faced this issue? How did you deal with it? Any tips on getting the courier guys to actually do their job would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your post.
I am sorry to hear that your orders have not been picked up.
Please complete the Easy Ship pickup form for any pickup-related issues and the team will contact you.
You can also contact Seller Support for additional guidance.

Hello, Hastamudra,
Have you tried updating the address and location in the Easy Ship settings? I suggest going to the settings section from the top right side of the dashboard, hovering over the gear symbol, going to account info, navigating to shipping and returns information, selecting Easy Ship settings, and then updating the pickup address and pickup location.
Once updated, please wait for at least 24 hours. If the issue persists, please contact Mr. Amit Agrawal VP of Amazon India (just google his mail id)

hi same thing that happens to me also when I was a new seller. After few days I came to know the amazon facility centre address where all pickups arrived. I personally dropped my shipments there. Please do enquire about near by amazon facility u can directly drop your shipment there before 5,30pm. Hope this idea will help you.

Okay here my 2 cents:
Easy ship pick up missing is very common. These pick up are done by 3PL companies and pick up boys have zero sense of responsibilities towards pick. Please have good connection with pick up boy. Treat him well and see if you do some favors so that he doesnt miss your pick come what may. This is the only way you will survive in easy ship pick

I went through the exact same thing. Basically the 3PL which handles Easy Ship pick ups in your area doesn't deem it makes business sense to pick up your shipments.
I reached out to Amazon endlessly and nothing ever happened. And I filled endless forms and noting ever happened.
There are two ways to deal with this:
1) Find an Amazon seller in your area and ask him for the contact for the guy who does the Easy Ship/FBA pick ups. Then go to the warehouse and plead with the manager there to not miss your shipments. Don't bribe or anything like that. Just request. Take the number of the Manager and the pick-up boy and then call them next time you have an order. If they don't come then drop off the shipment at the warehouse or meet them half-way somewhere.
2) If you do not know any seller in your area, then speak to Amazon to see if they can connect you with the warehouse in your area. Ask for address and phone number.
3) If 1 and 2 don't work, try switching to FBA, since the box you will send to Amazon will be larger, it then might make economical sense for the warehouse to come and pick up. And if you don't want to continue with FBA atleast through this method you can find the number/warehouse.
It is miserable I know. But there is no other way around this. Filling Amazon forms won't help and you will keep losing valuable orders.

i am facing the same problem here next time i am thinking to do it my myself if the amazon fail to pick up the order

All the new sellers face the same issue. Filling missed pickup form will only protect you from the bad effect on account health but won't help you in shipments. Use self ship until you are eligible for guaranteed easy ship delivery.

Yes, welcome to amazon.
The main problem which never got sorted till years passed. Getting the order is easy, while getting the pickup done by amazon guy is impossible. Same here most of the orders get cancelled due to this and delay, and than cancellation fees. Fight for getting your cancellation fees again because its not your fault. But the main problem you lost the order. That buyer not gonna come back !
Instead take matters to your own hands. Do shipping yourself, leave this mess of amazon pickup. But this might affect a bit, don't know more since just trying the same thing !
Hope you get your business at full swing.

ygsh

As an old seller, not only missed pickups killing sellers, here is the other facts .
I wanted to share some insights on the challenges we face while selling on Amazon.
The journey isn't always straightforward, and there are numerous deductions and hidden costs that significantly affect our profits.
Here’s a detailed look at what it really entails:
Amazon Deductions (from Selling Price):
• Commission: 19.00%
• IGST on Commission: 3.42%
• Fixed Closing Fee: 5.15%
• IGST on Fixed Closing Fee: 0.93%
• Amazon Easy Ship Fees:
a) Weight Handling Fees: 5.58%
b) IGST on Weight Handling Fees: 0.88%
Total Amazon Deductions (Standard Sales): 37.64%
Additional Deductions:
• Return Charges: 5%
• SCRR Rate Fine: 15%
• Ads Expenses: 24%
• GST on Ads: 4.32%
• FBA Theft by ATS & Hub Managers: 20% (Unfortunately, this happens regularly-Amazon enjoying this theft, results they can impose SCRR Fines and get an additional 15%)
Total Deductions in Different Scenarios:
1. Sale Without Return:
a) Amazon Deductions: 37.64%
b) Ads Deductions: 28.32% (including GST)
c) Tax Deductions: 1.43%
d) Total: 67.39% of the selling price goes in deductions.
2. Sale With Return (Without SCRR Fine):
a )Return charges (5%) add to the total, making it 72.39% of the selling price.
3. Sale With Return and SCRR Fine:
a) Return Charges (5%) + SCRR Fine (15%) result in total deductions of 87.39% of the selling price.
4. Sale With ATS & FBA Theft:
a) Adding FBA Theft (20%) to the deductions from a sale with return and SCRR fines results in a staggering 107.39% of the selling price.
Now add your product cost/and other expenses
This extreme scenario means we are losing more than the entire selling price.(Other than Amazon's insiders-Clou**il etc)
How many sellers are aware of all these deductions and wonder why they aren't seeing the profits they expect?
It's crucial to understand the full impact of these costs on our business.
*Ads expenses considered as 24%
*Shipping as local.
