Refund Ctiteria for Professional Seller Account Fee

Hey Folks,

I hope you are doing well; I needed help in terms of selling account charges etc. As a student I am seeking to learn how can I sell products on Amazon Seller Account and what kind of tools are useful, therefore, I plan to register my seller account with an intention to create Individual Account rather than Professional as it is quite expensive. However, I have attached my debit card and they are trying to charge fee that is related to professional account which I cannot afford, what should I do? I need someone's assistance who is more experienced on Amazon Platform. I am unable to initiate further task until professional fee is paid.

Make sure you go into your Settngs and Downgrade Your Account to Individual. Amazon has been known to start everyone at the Professional level to get the $39.99. This may or may not get you a refund, but it will stop further charges.

Also, to sell on Amazon you need to provide a credit card rather than debit. They can charge your debit account for this fee, but will want a proper Credit Card on file to be a seller.

Spend many many hours perusing this forum to see how many many pitfalls there are to selling here. It is generally not easy, even though gurus on TikTok make it seem that way.

Best of luck to you.

Hello @Seller_6dPVUx80KMY18

Roberto here following up on this thread. Thank you for raising this question and we welcome you to the Forums.

I would like to add on the comment made by @Seller_kNAboD6kRgVt7, if your intention is to continue as an individual but started registering as a professional, you must continue the registration and go into your Settings and request the Downgrade.

You will likely be charged the Monthly Fee with the purpose of validating your Credit/debit card. I would urge you to reach out to Seller support and request a refund of the Monthly Fees since you have not used Professional tools or benefits after signing up.
