Amazon Prime Day - Boom or Bust?
Hello all!
Amazon will of course be giving out their numbers, but those don't reflect on individual sellers.
In order to gather some insights into the success or failure of this years Amazon Prime Day (Week); let's all compare notes on:
- Traffic: Increase / decrease such as click on your products YoY from last years Prime Day?
- Ad Spend: Increase / decrease compared to last years Prime Day?
- Sales: Increase / decrease compared to last years Prime Day?
Thank you all for your participation.

Thanks so much for creating this thread so forums users can share event insights and trends, @Seller_zSWez2Mzpdboa- I hope this Prime Day is a huge win for you and all sellers here on the forums!
Commenting now to help drive some traction to the post, hoping it gets engagement across all 4 event days here in the States!

It's like the lottery -- you have to buy a ticket to win.
I sell all things that no one NEEDS/must have. I do not do ads since Amazon collects enough already. I do not do FBA because I do not trust them to count my items and not lose them.
Amazon cut back on the amount of things you could send in to FBA for BEFORE the sale but they are increasing the amount for AFTER the sale.
WHY do you support such insanity with your hard earned money?
If I get extra sales because all you folks are spending your money to attract people here, all I can say is THANK YOU!

So far, so good, for us.
I expected yesterday (July 7th) to be slow sales wise, as buyers awaited prime day(s) start, but I was surprised to see high traffic and sales. Today (July 8th) has been strong as well. I expect sales to taper off as we move through the week.

Started off great, ended terribly, wasn't even an impressive Tuesday. Disappointing but can't say I'm surprised, this whole year post inauguration has been disappointing.

It's been slow leading up to Prime days and it's been slow during Prime days.

Measuring a 4 day 2025 Prime Day against a shorter 2024 Prime Day is not apples to apples. The overall trend in US retail sales indicates a slowdown in growth (and profit). Boom or bust of Prime Day matters not. Soldier on!

media reports say BUST! As a shopper my relatives and associates either did not bother with AMAZONS PRIME DAYS or were disappointed in the offerings and false discounts on inflated prices. Better bargains elsewhere and on stuff we actually need! As for my sales they got a bump as usual but I was not offering any specials.
