Organic Licence Required Or Not

Hi Team,

I am new to this community!

As a retailer on Amazon in India, I want to sell millets that are naturally organic. I need to know if I require an NPOP or PNG certificate to list millets or super seeds on Amazon. From my understanding, NPOP or PNG certificates are usually obtained by manufacturers or farmers, not by retailers like me.

Hello @Seller_MHXI6SmCnkrcg,

Welcome to forums. If you intend to list any organic food products, you need to have a valid 'National Program for Organic Production' (NPOP) certificate or Participatory Guarantee System for India (PGS-India) certificate (in the case of imported organic food products, a certificate from an approved organic certification body of that country/region of origin). The scope of the certificate should contain all the products you intend to list.

You can have more information about Grocery and gourmand Foods Listing Policy here. Please let me know if this answers your question.

Regards,

Adam
