I am planning to open an Amazon Seller Account for my LLC. Currently, I have an individual Amazon Seller account, and I intend to keep both accounts separate. They will share the same address, but I will use different email addresses and phone numbers for each. Both accounts will also be accessed from the same internet connection/IP address and the same computer/laptop.
I’ve reached out to several Amazon associates via phone and live chat, but unfortunately, I have not received any satisfactory answers. Each representative has only directed me to read various documents, which have not addressed my specific concerns.
Could you please clarify what qualifies as a “legitimate business need” for opening a second Seller Central account? I want to ensure that I meet all necessary criteria and understand the requirements for maintaining multiple accounts.
I have a registered business and aim to open the new account to keep my personal and business finances separate while managing resale activities. Would this justification be acceptable for maintaining a separate account, or is there a different process I should follow?

It means that the 2 accounts have to sell entirely different products. There are presumably more restrictions of which you should look up.

Examples of a legitimate business justification include:
- You own multiple brands and maintain separate businesses for each
- You manufacture products for two distinct and separate companies
- You are recruited for an Amazon program that requires separate accounts
