Need Brand Approval for my own brand?

Hello,

I created a new listing for a new product with a new brand name (not registered through Brand Registry). I am getting the error to request approval because "You are not approved to list this product. You will need to contact the brand owner to become an authorized seller of this product on Amazon." How am I supposed to request approval for my own brand/product? I have confirmed with the Brand Registry team that the brand name is not registered in Brand Registry and is indeed a unique name with a brand new listing.

Thanks!!

Good Morning @Seller_qNJGLDpkqlm2l,

I wanted to follow up with you regarding your question above. There are 3 different options you can take at this time.

  1. Get brand approval to sell under the brand name as it is currently a registered brand on Amazon.
  2. You can get a trademark with the government to protect your IP with the same brand name but you would have to sell different products and have a different trademark number on Amazon.
  3. You can list your products under the 'generic' brand name.

Please let us know if you have any questions regarding the options or the information I have provided. Have a great rest of the week.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
