What would your ideal Amazon look like? (Sellers Poll not Amazons)
I don't work for Amazon* but I want to create a post where everyone can reply with changes/improvements they would want to see on Amazon. My hopes are some admins can read these in a public forum and someone could @Andy Jassy
Please keep them constructive and appropriate(Amazon will not remove fees for your products in the future or have your products always rank on the top of search - keep it realistic) As a fellow seller I would want to hear the pain points of different size sellers.
I'll start - Amazon should be a place where not just large corporations are able to sell products. Amazon was once a small business, if all the big book wholesalers had a monopoly and prevented Bezos from even getting a foot in the door we would not have this platform. Sellers who spend time creating relationships with distributors should not be penalized and knocked off the buy box by Amazon. If their prices are consistent, and the same if not lower than Walmart, Target, and other retailers Amazon should not try to compete. Many of us have invested heavily, risking our life savings without the security of a traditional job—no severance pay, retirement plans, or job security. We do this to bring unique products to Amazon’s customers, contributing to the platform’s growth and diversity. It's crucial that our efforts and risks are not marginalized once Amazon's profitability is in sight.
Furthermore, it's imperative that Amazon supports US-based businesses more actively. In an era where platforms like Temu and TikTok Shop are redefining customer spending habits, Amazon's strength lies in cultivating loyal customers who value quality over quantity. Emphasizing support for US-based sellers who adhere to federal regulations, maintain high-quality standards, and contribute to job creation within the country will enhance Amazon's marketplace for everyone involved.
I look forward to your thoughts and insights. Together, we can advocate for a more inclusive and supportive environment on Amazon’s platform. Let’s make our voices heard!

1. You cannot compare Amazon with the other big box stores. Traditionally and to this day, they run on fixed pricing. Amazon, on the other hand has no fixed pricing with individual products going up and down almost hourly. The box stores can compete with that.
2. Amazon runs on corporate greed.
Upper management, paid in the millions, is only interested in keeping the Status Quo. Innovations and seller support is of no concern.
Middle management, paid in the hundreds of thousands, works for the 3-year stock option carrot hung out in front of them. Hopefully, they can stick it out without being written up for a bad idea. That could bring a termination around 2 years and 9 months.
The working-class hourly worker is worked to death and usually quits by the end of a year's employment. They are hired just to be fired. They are the ones who make the mistakes in the FBA centers and provide standard auto text answers to seller support questions.
