Shipping penalty to customer on retun order

It is observed frequently that customer use a product and apply for return / refund after his purpose of use of that product is fulfilled like party or festival occasion.

In such cases shipping charges and other penaly should be put on to customer by Amazon to protect seller for this misuse by customers.

Absolutely why should we seller bear charges of such scam customers, we also have to pay fees and delivery and packaging for such scams

yes... I am also facing the same thing, seller support suggest to file safe t claim and safe t claim deny the claim and saying exceeded safe t claim fraud claim. buyers are fraud sellers are not a fraud.

sellers are working hard for earning some money but amazon declare sellers are fraud customers are God.

It's disheartening to see over 95 % of us facing the same issues, from unjustified returns to product theft by ATS staff. The root problem appears to be that Amazon benefits from these incidents. They collect 15% Seller Controllable Return Rate (SCRR) fines and resell returned products, profiting at both ends.

While many sellers have proposed solutions like penalizing customers for misuse or implementing stronger return policies, Amazon seems indifferent. One simple fix could be requiring ATS staff to input a one-time password (OTP) generated from the buyer's phone after successful product pickup. If the seller receives a wrong or used product, the ATS staff would be accountable.

However, Amazon's reluctance to address these thefts suggests they may not want to disrupt this flow of profit. By keeping the system unchecked, they continue benefiting from fines and additional fees on resold items

totally agree with you actually Amazon or rather all the e-commerce websites are not seller friendly, as everyone including Amazon, courier person and the customer takes there piece of monetary profit but the seller has to suffer . E-commerce websites like Amazon need to work on this specially with deliveries and delivery return

It has to be made sure that the penalties which are ungenuine should be charged from the defaulter instead putting everything on the seller

Totally Agree with the Suggestion from your end. Amazon must change its return Policy to protect Sellers from where Amazon taking commission from Sellers. Recently I have faced a c-return where the fees (Shipping, Commission & Refund expenses) was deducted from my money due to UNAUTHORIZED Purchase by customer

I agree nowadays sellers are in trouble due to this kind of customers. And this type of activity is increased too much at the time of big sales. I reuest to amazon to take this matter seriously design the policies which help sellers to make the business profitable.
