For a variation product, a child item has been inexplicably given an independent listing by the platform. How can I fix it?

For my unbranded exempt variant products, one of the child items has been inexplicably given an independent link by the platform. I tried to merge this link back to the parent item, but I keep getting the error code 5886. I consulted the customer service, and they said to wait for the US team to handle it. However, it remains unresolved. How can I restore the independent child item to the parent item?

Go into your inventory, find/edit the PARENT listing, go to the variations tab, and add it back in there (or, if you pull up one of the current children and go to the variations tab, there should be a link to the parent tab for editing).

They did it to me too.

I had small, medium & large. So they decided one day to take the medium one out, and make it a separate item. So now I sell the small & large on one page, & the medium on another.

I really don't know why they did it, now I get all these returns because they didn't have the right size available to them, & they are kind of mad.

I don't know why Amazon took it upon themselves to do this, but I read that making changes not only doesn't help, but it makes them decide to ask for a bunch of paperwork, so I am doing nothing.

Let us know if anything works, without retaliation.
