I'd like to know what this "return started" means.

I always get some gray "return started" on my return orders. They always stay on for a couple months and then get reimbursed. Is this because the customer initiated the return, but didn't actually return it?

Return started means the customer initiated the return but they have not yet completed it. They may still, it's not a guarantee necessarily that they won't actually return the item. Let me know if you have follow-up questions or thoughts.
