How to accurately manage FBM Shipping Costs across USA for a wide variety of SKUs?

I'm finding very challenging (manual) to accurately define shipping costs for different SKUs in my FMB portfolio, since i do have a diverse range going from light items that goes in a padded envelop to heavier items that goes in a shipping box, multiple sizes.

What is the best way to do this? Any smart solution that calculates is dynamically or do I really need to have a shipping template for each shipping model (envelope, small box, larger box)? How are you doing it today?

is the solution flat rate (which is more expensive)? is it volumetric? appreciate any of your experience. Cheers!

Good afternoon @Seller_QOrlK8tvjQaDK,

You pose a great question! I'm sure other sellers would tell you that there's no one correct way to do it. I've not seen specific suggestions from seller's in the past regarding dynamic calculations, oftentimes you can find older threads with sellers even giving out their specific shipping settings. Here is one example (though it's a bit older).

I would imagine other sellers would say that having different shipping templates is likely the way to go, but hopefully my comment here might raise some other responses!
