Can you put both FNSKU and UPC barcode on your packaging?

Hi, are we allowed to put both the FNSKU and UPC barcode on the packaging box? We use the same packaging for both retailers and Amazon, so ideally the packaging has both barcodes so we don't ever need to manually add labels. I know at one point Amazon said you can only have one barcode, but that was many years ago. Has anyone ever put both barcodes and had any issues? Thanks

Hi @Seller_3enaqCcre8dUH,

Dominic from Amazon here, happy to help. You are correct in your post, you must only have one scannable barcode.

When you are ready to place barcodes on your products, make sure that you do the following:

  • Put the correct barcode on each item.
  • Cover all other visible barcodes, except for any serial number barcodes or Transparency authentication code labels.
  • Make sure the barcode is scannable after applying any prep materials.
  • Do not place the barcode on a curve or corner of the package.
  • Allow 0.25 inch between the edge of the label and the edge of the packaging.
  • Ensure that each item in a case pack has an Amazon barcode and that any barcodes on the case have been removed.
