Parent/Child listings question
So I just want to make sure I understand this correctly.
Let's say I create a parent product and I add three variations to it, red blue and green
And then let's say another seller comes along and they want to sell the variations, pink orange and brown
From what I'm understanding from the research I've done only the original seller that created the parent listing can add variations to it.
Is that correct? Now somebody could create variations and then create a new parent product maybe? But then they would lose all of the reviews on the parent listing.
Am I understanding this correctly?
So somebody creates a listing with five variations and then they just close their seller account or they die or something, nobody else will ever be able to create any other variations on that parent. Is that the case?
Thanks,
Mark

Hi there @Seller_OQD4cARTcZYEd,
My current understanding is that if you create a new variation that includes children that associated with an existing variation, the Variation Parent will be associated with the new variation being created and all the products would be tied in a single variation. Variation parents don't belong to specific sellers and reviews aren't attached to parents, only child ASINs have reviews associated with them. If you have a specific issue you need looked at can you provide additional details, like a case ID? Thank you for your understanding.
