NEED HELP - Product listing detail page was removed citing policy violation but none done
Hi Amazon team,
Writing here as I have reached a deadlock trying to fix this Amazon caused issue. This has been going round and round in circles but our listing has not been activated for 5 days now!.
Issue: We are an Indian soft drinks brand and have listed our products on Amazon.
It was listed for a week and we started getting orders. Just then Amazon removed our listing citing the below reason:
Why did this happen?
Your listings do not meet our standards. Refer to the following details:
Sale of Fruit Juices are prohibited as per the guidelines by FSSAI
Reason provided was that Sale of fruit juice products is not allowed. However, we are not selling fruit juice, instead we are selling soft drinks and there is no such FSSAI regulation against selling soft drinks.
Tried emailing and talking to the help team/ chatting but it is like banging my head against a wall. There is a food-compliance team at Amazon and they have no clue about any compliance. This is just outright seller harassment - pointing out any random invalid reason and removing the listing and then no-one knows why it was removed or how it can be activated again.
Chat is also not helpful as the seller support staff clearly mentions that Amazon cannot do anything till it shows as a policy violation which it is not showing.
What I have done till now:
1. Wrote 4 emails to food-complaince @ amazon as well as spoke to seller support but I keep getting the same standard response on email - which I shared above. Seller support chat says they cannot do anything to help here.
2. Have also shared other similar soft drinks products listed on Amazon.in. There are multiple such products listed and selling on Amazon.in
3. Only our 6 pack listings were blocked due to this. Our 12 pack listings are still active. Which is again confusing.
IF anyone can help here it would be great. We are just wasting out time on Amazon otherwise.

Hello @Seller_YLUI9JvZHytqS,
This is Abella from Amazon to assist you.
Thank you for providing details about your account situation. I understand your concern about an ASIN which is inactive due to food compliance.
I understand that your product is a soft drink that contains fruit flavoring, we need to be cautious about using phrases like '100% fruit juice' or 'real fruit juice' in our product listings. Such terminology could mislead customers into believing that our product is made entirely from fruit juice, when it is actually a flavored beverage.
We should ensure our product descriptions accurately represent the nature of our soft drink to maintain compliance and transparency with our customers.
As per Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and Food Safety and Standards (Advertising and Claims) regulations, 2018, the rules and regulations made thereunder on account of Reconstituted juice sold as 100% fruit juice. if, as the case may be.
As per recent FSSAI advisory dated June 3, 2024 and August 14, 2024, online listing of such products is not permitted and will be removed.
Please review your product detail page (text and images) for any claims about 100% fruit juice content. If you believe your product complies with regulations and does not make such claims, you may submit a dispute to food-compliance@amazon.in. Include supporting evidence, such as the ingredient list, with your dispute.
If you need any further assistance, you can post here so that we or any of the sellers on forum can help you.
Regards,
Abella.
