two accounts

I have a very well established book seller account here on amazon and I want to continue with that one. I have established a 501c3 non-profit and am the founder & CEO of that LLC which is obviously a separate entity. I can't get a straight answer if I'm allowed to open an account for that or not because amazon seller support can only copy and paste information and email it to you - not really do their jobs. Is there anyone from Amazon here who actually knows? I don't want to jeopardize my business account.

You may have more than one selling account.

Other than physical address, everything must be different. Including different items. It is better not to even sell in the same category.

And if one account hits a snag -- the other account is also at risk.

I don't know if this is still accurate, but here is a video from Amazon Seller University.

Hello 1

"Yes, you can. I have three accounts, but you can't list the same item on more than one account. Each account must have its own items. If you fail to do that, they will deactivate all your accounts."

Good luck

Hi @Seller_2rzQbBE8iYQEz,

Steve from Amazon here, thank you for the question. You may only maintain one Seller Central account for each region in which you sell unless you have a legitimate business need to open a second account and all of your accounts are in good standing. If any of your accounts are not in good standing, we may deactivate all of your selling accounts until all accounts are in good standing.

Examples of a legitimate business justification include:

  • You own multiple brands and maintain separate businesses for each
  • You manufacture products for two distinct and separate companies
  • You are recruited for an Amazon program that requires separate accounts

Please reference the resources below for more information on this as well.

Comply with Amazon’s Multiple Account policy

Address a Multiple Account Policy violation

Selling policies and seller code of conduct

Please let me know if there are any other questions.

Thanks,

Steve

We have 2 accounts with 2 brands on each account selling in the same categories. For some reason support set it up this way and said it was the way to do it, though it wouldn't have been my first choice, I was not employed by them at the time.

We do have different brands with separate businesses for each.
