Pesticide Violation for Tea Tree Oil
Hi All,
On May 31st I received an Amazon violation because I had the words "antibacterial and antifungal" in my listing. Its been on going contacts with seller support (14 attempts now and 5 days later).
I was locked out of making the corrections to the verbiage as soon as I received the violation and to this day are still locked out of the ASIN.
I have also copleted the pesticide training as I was advised it was required. I am now "approved" for selling pesticides "although my product isn't one" and I simply need to remove the "claims to become compliant.
I was advised to use a flat file to do the edits, however every upload returns the error #18503 which is the pesticide violation. (even though I am now approved)
Has anyone find the work around to this to be able to edit the listing?? I just want to get compliant and just need to remove the incorrect verbiage as amazon continues to keep my ASIN hostage and locked out.

In the United States, pesticides and pesticide devices must comply with the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and applicable state and local laws, including registration and labeling requirements. Pesticides and pesticide devices include:
- Any product intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating any pest.
- Any product that makes antimicrobial, anti-fungal, antibacterial, anti-mold, or pesticide claims.
Products marketed to disinfect, repel insects, remove allergens, or prevent bacteria may be considered pesticides or pesticide devices under EPA regulations. For more information, visit the EPA's Pesticides page.
When selling a restricted product, you cannot edit the listing. To comply with the restricted products policy, you must either provide a document proving that your item is not a pesticide or remove the listing and acknowledge the violation. Acknowledging the violation will remove the restricted product violation from your dashboard but you’ll not be able to sell the item again.
