Close Seller Account?

Hi,

I sale on Amazon, but they are charging me so many fees!!!!!!! I cannot afford to continue to be charged for all of this effective immediately. Can I close my seller account and will I be able to reopen it when I have the funds to do so?

Downgrade your account to Individual; that will stop the $39.99 monthly subscription fee. If you have inventory in FBA, you will be charged storage unless you submit a removal order, which will also cost money. If there is no FBA inventory, then you should not see any additional charges unless there is a return on something you've sold recently.

After that, just relax and let it sit. Don't try to close your account; doing so may make it harder to sell in the future. But as long as you are on Individual, have no FBA inventory, and no listings, there will be no charges, and the difference between that and "closed" is minimal.

Note that you could also leave some listings active; if you are individual and fulfilling orders yourself, you will see charges only when you make a sale. Assuming that you have your offers priced appropriately, that should be at least a small profit for you.
