Getting certified for Portable Adult Bed Rails ASTM F3186–17 Safety Standard
We got a notice from Amazon that our hospital bed rail needs to be tested by an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory. We have reached out to Amazon several times for a list of these laboratories that offer this testing and they can not provide one. We have also contacted ISO 17025 companies and none of them are certified for this testing since it is very new. We have started to see other bed rail listings pop up recently stating they meet ASTM F3186–17 Safety Standards so there must be some of these accredited labs out there somewhere. With there being hundreds of portable bed rails on Amazon still hopefully someone at Amazon support or another customer could point us in the right direction on where to get our bed rails tested.
