Can a Proprietor Register Spouse’s Trademarked Brand on Amazon Seller Central?
Hi,
I’m a registered Amazon seller with an active GST number.
My husband owns a brand that has a valid trademark registered under his name. However He is not selling on Amazon , He does not have a GST number
The brand is not yet registered under Amazon Brand Registry
I would like to sell his trademarked brand under my Amazon seller account.
My Questions:
Can I register my husband’s brand on Amazon Brand Registry using my seller account?
Will Amazon allow me to sell this brand if I get an authorization letter or declaration from my husband (the trademark owner)?
What are the exact steps and documents required to complete this process?
Please advise on how to proceed with brand registry and selling in such a case.
Thanks in advance!

HI,
Yes, you can use your husband’s trademark to sell on Amazon.
To do this, please follow the steps below to enroll the brand under Amazon Brand Registry:
Visit the Amazon Brand Registry portal: https://brandregistry.amazon.in
Click on “Enroll a new brand” and fill in the required details such as brand name, trademark number, trademark owner (your husband's name), and product information.
After submitting the application, Amazon will review it and send a verification code to the email address that was used to register the trademark.
Once you receive this code, you will need to provide it to Amazon. Usually, a support case will be created where you can submit the code.
After verification, if everything is in order, Amazon will approve the enrollment and your brand will be successfully registered.

Yes, you can register brand name on behalf of your husband. you need to simply follow steps which is easy to get registration. You need to have product images. images should include brand name on product. Please visit brand registry page.
In case of any confusion then i will suggest you to get in touch with amazon customer care.

My suggestion is to legally transfer the brand ownership to your name first. Once that’s done, register it on Amazon to ensure everything is safe and compliant.

Hello @Seller_h5DDyTw3CZlhC
In general, yes, you can register your husband's brand on Amazon Brand Registry using your seller account, even though the trademark is registered under his name. Amazon allows this as long as you have proper authorization from the trademark owner.
To proceed, here are the steps I'd recommend:
First, obtain a formal authorization letter from your husband. This letter should clearly state that he, as the trademark owner, authorizes you to sell products under his brand on Amazon and to register the brand in the Amazon Brand Registry.
Next, gather all the necessary trademark documentation. This typically includes the trademark registration certificate and any other supporting documents that show your husband's ownership of the trademark.
Go to the Amazon Brand Registry page and start the enrollment process using your seller account. You'll need to provide details about the brand and the trademark.
When prompted, upload the authorization letter from your husband along with the trademark documentation.
Amazon will review your application. This process usually takes a few days to a couple of weeks.
Once approved, you'll be able to access Brand Registry features and can start creating listings for the brand's products.
As for selling the brand on Amazon, yes, you should be able to do so with the authorization letter from your husband. When creating listings, make sure to accurately represent the brand and products.
For more detailed information, I recommend checking out the Amazon Brand Registry help.
If you encounter any issues, don't hesitate to contact Seller Support for assistance.
I hope this information helps you get started with selling your husband's brand on Amazon. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Christine.
