This might be the first time in history that Amazon was ahead of a situation -- and not in a good way.

Maybe they need cash flow to build some more drones..................

I wonder how many FBA sellers go broke. So many fees and charges and lost inventory. Free giveaway returns damaged returns being resold. High price alerts. Wish a Mod could look that up. Don't give a thumbs down because you are doing good with FBA many sellers who have been around had much easier time 10 years ago getting started. Just wondering.

Is the same way sellers going to be compensated for excess inventory fees caused by Amazon? You care about low inventory? Take responsibility for excess caused by lost and then found inventory.

The New NOT Improved Forum has succeeded in hiding the response from @Seller_guhB8uyqOduxs which is buried under the question from @Dominic_Amazon.

They misread the charge -- it was actually an incorrect measurement charge.

AMAZON needs to fix how posts are 'nested' on here but they have refused to do so since the start of this mess of a site.

Hi Dominick:

I have a measurement issue also. I sell three bulky and light products for which the FBA charge is based on dimensional weight - height x width x length in inches divided by 139 = dimensional pounds. All three products are packed in the same cardboard box, but every time FBA does a measurement it gets different dimensions, and has been overcharging me on two of the three products since they were introduced last May.

I have even submitted images showing a ruler along the edges of the box with the true dimensions proving that the FBA measurements are wrong, but FBA doesn't even acknowledge the images, and just says ask for another remeasurement next month.

Example - The ASIN B0C31Y7CTP box is 11.75" x 5.875" x 5.75" - a dimensional weight of 2.86 pounds.

However, in Case ID 13606186491 (8/20/23), FBA claims the box is 11.97" x 6.38" x 5.87." And, in Case ID 14578676551 (1/4/24), FBA claims the same box is 11.93" x 6.10" x 5.79" - inconsistent FBA results for the same thing, and in both cases incorrectly a dimensional weight over 3 pounds.

The difference is an overcharge of about $1.00 each on about 700 units of ASIN B0C31Y7CTP and ASIN B0C3JFBVQP (same box) sold since last May.

There are federal and state laws governing weights and measures - businesses, including Amazon, all have to use the same ruler.

How can I get this resolved - do I need to start an arbitration?
