Can I offer full Refund instead of replacement even if I have the iventory?
Hi I have been facing may frauds whee customer is keeping original product and returning different items. Specially from Bareily (UP). Many time I have to send replacement which was also kept by customer and something different was returned. So now customer is having 2 items sent by me and also the refunded amount. In return I get mobiles covers, small plactic bowls etc.
My question is - When I know the customer if fraud and asking for replacement, can I give him a full refund instead of replacement even if I have that item in my inventory? In simple words I don't want to send him another product kowing he will be keeping that and will be returning somthing different. Its better to refund him instead of losing one more item + delivery charges+commissions.

In such a scenario, Amazon should use AI to check the buyer's credibility and decide whether to refund or return the item. This is to avoid the hassle for the Seller of shipping the replacement order and the commercial impact.
We trust Amazon will take note of this and implement the same.

Yes, you can cancel the replacement order. If you receive the replacement and suspect it's a fake customer return, you can cancel it after the replacement order is confirmed. This option is only available for self-ship orders. If you're an Easy Ship seller, you can't do this.

Could you give us more details on what kind of fulfilment you use? Is it merchant fulfilment or Easy Ship?
Also, did you report to SPS the case where you received back from the buyer another product?

We would suggest you to immediately report this buyer with Amazon and write them a strict email looping the safe-t team and escalation teams.
We have faced 100s of such instances with buyers doing fraud with us and the best thing we could do was to report them because harsh truth is if we ourselves cancel the orders, amazon will not listen to us. So, suggestion is write a strong email to amazon and ask for cancellation on behalf of amazon.
