the brand on a listing cannot be changed. Even trying to do so, can get you permanently suspended.

I wanted to add some more context to what @Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EI already shared above:
If a product is created as generic, it cannot updated to a brand later. Brand string changes from "generic" to branded, or branded to "generic" are not allowed to protect the integrity of the product per the Amazon Generic Product policy.
