Unbelievable - Amazon strike again - Returns and Refunds, Customer Damage, No Access to SafeT
I am so fed up with Amazon. A buyer returned an item. It arrived but no refund on first scan occured. Upon seeing threads on here about A-Z claims, I opened a case and reported that the refund on first scan did not work. They ran through on how to manually refund so I went ahead and refunded. When I went to open a SafeT claim, guess what, I can't as Amazon didn't refund the buyer on my behalf. What an absolute joke.
On top of that, I get another SafeT refused today as I have to claim a missing item when they know full well I don't have proof of posting as it's the buyer who has posted the item back. Amazon refund at first scan and I never get the product nor can I challenge it.
How is any of this fair?

for the first case when you manually refunded you should have done a partial refund.
For the second case yeah can’t argue there the prepaid return lost in post claims are sadly a joke. Complaints have been raised for YEARS but Amazon haven’t changed anything have they @Winston_Amazon?
